Earlier today, I called Line Allouet, the woman that my dad and I are renting our apartment in Paris from. I was calling to ask a few questions about the apartment and stuff. And it was scary. She spoke some English, but not very well, and I spoke some French, but not very well. It felt like such a struggle just to talk to her.
